I grew up eating Lemon Square bars every summer.  My mother was diligent in making one of her favorite treats.  With the help of 123 Gluten Free Mixes, I've got a great Gluten Free Lemon Bar recipe I want to share with  you today.

Ingredients: 

•  1 package 1-2-3 Gluten Free Lindsay's Lipsmackin' Roll-out & Cut Sugar Cookies dough prepared according to package instructions
• 4 eggs
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 4 Tbsp tapica flour
• Zest of 1 lemon, finely grated
• 3/4 cup lemon juice
• 1/8 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp lemon extract
• Dusting of powdered confectioner's sugar

Directions:

1.  Prepare dough of 1 package 1-2-3 Gluten Free Lindsay's Lipsmackin' Sugar Cookie Mis
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
3. Line 9"x 13" baking pan with foil.  Spread cookie dough in pan evenly. Refrigerate for 1/2 hour. Bake cookie dough for 5-20 minutes, until golder brown.
4. In bowl of mixer with paddle attachment, mix eggs, sugar, tapioca four, lemon zest, lemon juice, sale & lemon extract. Mix well.
   
5. Remove pan from oven. Pour lemon juice mixture over cookie dough.
6. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees F.  Bake for 20 minutes until topping feels firm when touched.
   
7. Cool for 30 minutes.  Using the foil, carefully remove from pan and cool completely.  Dust with powdered sugar. Cut & serve.

So now that you know what ingredients to look for the real question is.. what brand can I buy?? 

Ecco Bella, some of Lancome, some of Mary Kay and Neutrogena has a list of gluten-free cosmetics.  You often have to ask and often the clerks at the counters are not equipped with all the correct information/knowledge.  Lots of Burt's Bees products are gluten-free.

Another point to be made about hidden Gluten are the gluten ingredients in pharmaceutical products as well as supplements like vitamins and herbs.  Most supplements that are gluten-free will marked as such on the label, though this will usually be included with a long list of things the product is “free from”. For a lot of individuals suffering from rapid cancer cell activity or chronic states of cancer, solutions may seem nill or limited.  Often there is frustration, anger, resentment, hopelessness and other feelings that are paired with this illness.  As a trained naturopath and holistic practitioner, my focus is assisting in the care of the whole body.  In some cases, however there are direct root causes of illness or disease.  In the case of cancer is often is a chronic state of acidity, poor nutrition, toxicity or a combination of both.

I want to share a protocol that I often add to a specific cancer protocol for the clients here at Healthy Being Wellness Boutique.  It is a mixture of baking soda and grade b maple syrup.  The bicarbonate maple syrup cancer protocol focuses on delivering natural chemotherapy in a way that effectively kills cancer cells but significantly reduces the brutal side effects experienced with most standard chemotherapy treatments. In fact so great is the reduction that the dangers are brought down to zero. Costs, which are a factor for the majority of people, of this particular treatment are nil.
